You want to …
- strategically, technically, and organizationally lead and continuously develop the Additive Manufacturing competence area
- lead, motivate, and provide targeted professional development for a team of experts
- establish innovative additive manufacturing processes for plastics and metals and transition them into industrial applications
- acquire, manage, and successfully complete research and development projects—both publicly funded and industrial
- actively shape the strategic direction of the competence field based on market, technology, and trend analyses
- take responsibility for budget planning, control, and resource allocation
- acquire and support national and international industry and research partners and further develop these relationships
- communicate research results through technical publications, presentations, conferences, and industrial applications
- actively promote company-wide collaboration and further develop structures and processes
- report directly to senior management
You have …
- a successfully completed degree in engineering or the natural sciences (e.g., materials science, materials engineering, polymer science, mechanical engineering), ideally with a Ph.D. or industry experience
- extensive experience in the additive manufacturing of plastics and metals
- strong knowledge of materials analysis, component testing, and process understanding
- proven experience in leading R&D projects and in securing external funding
- leadership experience or a clear motivation to take on leadership responsibilities
- strength in entrepreneurial thinking and organization, as well as strong implementation and decision-making skills
- enjoyment of strategic work while maintaining a close connection to experimental research
- a motivating personality with a focus on scientific excellence and management
- excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills in German and English
